How loading crews work in Denver
You rent a U-Haul, Penske, or Budget truck. We send a two- or three-person crew to your origin — Capitol Hill apartment, Wash Park bungalow, RiNo loft, Aurora ranch, Centennial two-story, Boulder rental, wherever along the Front Range. They load under your direction. Most Denver jobs run two to three hours.
We don’t drive the truck and we don’t broker storage. Labor — done by people who know how to load at altitude on a hot August day without breaking your stuff — is the whole product.
When to use a crew vs. moving yourself
Denver patterns where a crew earns its keep:
- Altitude + summer heat. Mile-high air plus 90°F is dehydrating faster than at sea level. Two amateurs DIY-ing a 20-foot truck at 2pm in July is the most predictable injury pattern we see. Three- mover crews start early.
- Walk-ups in Capitol Hill, Cheesman Park, City Park West. Lots of three-story stock with narrow stairs. Per-hour math flips against DIY when every load is a long walk.
- Two-story houses in Centennial, Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, Parker. Family-sized furniture plus the standard suburban staircase needs three movers.
- Tech-relocation and post-pandemic remote-work moves. Lots of out-of-state moves in and out of metro Denver. Crews that handle long-distance origin loads keep paperwork legible for reimbursement.
If you’re moving a studio in RiNo with a friend’s pickup and an elevator, DIY is fine.
What it costs
Loading Crews quotes every job individually. We don’t publish flat rates — the right number for your move depends on crew size, hours, stairs, specialty items, and the day of week.
After you submit the booking form, our dispatch team texts or calls within five minutes with your specific quote. Flat-rate quotes, no upcharges on arrival, no charge from us if no crew claims your job. The quote you get is the price you pay.

Frequently asked questions
Service area along the Front Range?
Most of metro Denver: Denver, Aurora, Lakewood, Arvada, Westminster, Thornton, Centennial, Highlands Ranch, Englewood, Littleton, Wheat Ridge, Commerce City, Brighton, Boulder. Further out (Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Greeley) are covered by our national dispatch — same booking flow.
Altitude — anything different?
We tell visitors moving in from sea level to start hydrating two days ahead and to take the day before move-in as a rest day. The crew is acclimated and works at full pace, but you might find yourself winded faster than usual.
Summer afternoon storms?
July–August brings sudden 3pm thunderstorms most days. The crew watches the forecast and may suggest an earlier start window. Hail damage to a parked rental truck is a real risk; if a watch goes warning, the crew may pause and finish under cover.
Tech-relocation — anything different?
Tell us at booking. Several of our Denver crews work corporate-paid moves for the major employers and keep itemized receipts for expense reports.
Heavy snow — what happens?
December–March, snow events can shut down moves for a day. The crew won’t ask you to drive a 20-foot truck on unplowed roads. We’ll reschedule for the next clear day at no penalty.
Same-day booking?
Weekdays usually yes. End-of-month and summer Saturdays fill several days out — book ahead when you can.
