How loading crews work in Dallas
You rent a U-Haul, Penske, or Budget truck. We send a two- or three-person crew to your origin — Uptown high-rise, Lakewood Tudor, Bishop Arts loft, Plano or Frisco starter home, wherever in the Metroplex. They load under your direction. Most Dallas jobs run two to three hours; the suburban single-story stock typical of north Dallas County tends to load on the faster end.
We don’t drive the truck and we don’t broker storage. Labor — done by people who load trucks for a living and know how to make them ride right on I-35 — is the whole product.
When to use a crew vs. moving yourself
DFW patterns where a crew earns its keep fast:
- Summer Saturdays. End-of-month plus the August move-in spike means every truck rental in Dallas County is out and the heat is brutal. Two amateurs DIY-ing at noon in August is the most predictable injury pattern we see. Crews start at 7am and beat the worst of the heat.
- Uptown / Victory Park high-rises. Most require a Certificate of Insurance, a freight elevator reservation, and a strict loading-dock window. Crews that have run those buildings before don’t lose 30 minutes to the security desk.
- Two-story houses in Frisco / McKinney / Plano. Staircases plus the family-sized furniture typical of north suburbs means three movers, not two.
- PCS moves around NAS Fort Worth or Sheppard. Family loads, tight timelines. Tell us at booking and we’ll match a crew that runs base moves.
If you’re moving a studio inside Loop 12 with a friend’s pickup and an elevator, DIY is fine.

Loading Crews quotes every job individually. We don’t publish flat rates — the right number for your move depends on crew size, hours, stairs, specialty items, and the day of week.
After you submit the booking form, our dispatch team texts or calls within five minutes with your specific quote. Flat-rate quotes, no upcharges on arrival, no charge from us if no crew claims your job. The quote you get is the price you pay.

Service area — how far does this stretch?
The whole Metroplex is covered: Dallas, Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen, Richardson, Garland, Mesquite, Irving, Grand Prairie, Arlington, Fort Worth proper (which has its own indexed page), Carrollton, Lewisville, Flower Mound, Coppell, Grapevine, Southlake, Keller, Denton. High-rise COI — how does that work?
If your building requires a Certificate of Insurance, mention it at booking and the crew lead will work with you to file ahead of move day.
Summer heat — what’s the move?
Book a 7am or 8am start from June through September. The crew brings water; keep your own cooler stocked. Heat-sensitive items (electronics, candles, wood furniture, art) load last to minimize their time in the hot truck.
Tornado window — what happens if weather changes the day?
Spring (March–May) we keep an eye on the forecast and may call to push your window if a watch goes warning. The crew won’t load through active high wind. Most spring storms pass within 30–60 minutes; the crew can usually wait it out and finish.
Can a crew handle a gun safe or piano?
Yes if you tell us at booking. Specialty items need three movers minimum and a piano dolly / stair climber. Not every crew does these; we’ll match one that does.
Same-day booking?
Weekdays usually yes. Weekends in May, June, August, and end-of- month windows fill up two to three days out — book ahead when you can.
